Exemption of Visa to citizens of 12 countries including Germany

On 7 March 2025 the Government of Vietnam issued Resolution No. 44/NQ-CP on exemption of visa to citizens of 12 countries. They include: 

1. Germany 

2. France 

3. Italy 

4 Spain 

5. United Kingdom and North Ireland 

6. Russia 

7. Japan 

8. South Korea 

9. Denmark 

10. Sweden 

11.  Norway  

12. Finland 

Citizens of these countries are exempted from visa to enter Vietnam for a stay of 45 days calculating from the date of entry, regardless of the types of their passports, and the purposes of entry. 

The visa exemption shall be valid from 15 March 2025 to 14 March 2028 and may be extended meaning that people from these 12 countries who will stay in Vietnam up to 45 days shall not have to apply for visa to enter Vietnam from 15 March 2025.
