Quick Look at Changes in Vietnam

1. On 17 June 2025, the National Assembly of Vietnam passed the Law on Amendments to Some Articles of the 2020 Law on Enterprises  which will take effect from 1 July 2025 (the “Amended Law”). Under this Amended Law, enterprises will be required to disclose information about their ultimate beneficial owners (which are recognized for the first time in Vietnam). Further regulations will be issued to give effect to the  new Amended Law, including prescribed forms for licensing procedures. At this moment, official regulations (including prescribed enterprise registration forms) have not been issued yet. 

2. After 1 July 2025, multiple provinces in Vietnam will be merged and district level will be abolished causing changes to names of ward levels. Therefore, after 1 July 2025, new information might need to be updated to reflect the address (including ward names) of enterprises.
